Stefan Bradl to miss German MotoGP

Stefan Bradl has confirmed that he will miss this weekend's German MotoGP race at Sachsenring due to a hand injury.

The Forward Racing rider, who had surgery last Monday after suffering the injury at Assen, has been replaced by Claudio Corti.

"It's really a shame to be forced to miss my home grand prix, but doctors have advised me not to rush the recovery in order not to jeopardise the rest of the season," Autosport.com quotes Bradl as saying.

"My hand is still sore and I will try to take full advantage of the four weeks' break before the race at Indianapolis."

Bradl finished ninth last season.
