MotoGP's Bradley Smith to suffer for four to six months with ankle injury

MotoGP rider Bradley Smith confirms that his right ankle will not fully recover for four to six months.

MotoGP star Bradley Smith has revealed that his ankle will not fully recover for four to six months.

The Monster Yamaha Tech 3 rider suffered ligament damage to his ankle while training on a motocross bike during the winter months.

"It's still taking its time, which is frustrating," Crash.net quotes Smith as saying. "We can't find a solution to speed [the healing] up, but when I went for the final diagnosis it was a four to six month injury and I'm only on 10 to 12 weeks."

Despite the problem, Smith has insisted that he does not feel uncomfortable on the MotoGP bike.
