Marc Marquez: 'Momentum's with me for MotoGP race at Brno'

Marquez: 'I've got momentum for Brno'

Reigning MotoGP champion Marc Marquez has claimed that he heads into this weekend's race in the Czech Republic with "good momentum" following his back-to-back wins.

The 22-year-old moved himself into contention for the title following triumphs in Germany and Indianapolis.

Marquez, who races for Repsol Honda, is now third in the standings, 56 points behind leader Valentino Rossi.

"It was a tough race in Indianapolis, very demanding, but I'm really happy to have taken two consecutive wins," roadracingworld.com quotes Marquez as saying.

"We were able to enjoy the victory on Sunday night and now we are already on our way to Brno for the next race. This isn't one of my favourite tracks and I've had mixed results here in the past but we arrive there with good momentum and we will work hard to be ready for a battle."

Jorge Lorenzo currently occupies second spot in the standings, nine points adrift of his Yamaha teammate.
