'Sunday Times' reaches settlement with Armstrong

Lance Armstrong's protracted legal battle with The Sunday Times has been settled.

The disgraced cyclist won a libel claim against the paper seven years ago following a 2004 article that contained allegations about performance-enhancing drugs.

However, Armstrong admitted last year that his seven Tour de France titles had been won with the aid of doping.

This revelation led to The Sunday Times launching an attempt to retrieve their damages, plus further costs.

The publication has now accepted an undisclosed settlement.
