Record-breaking Britain take gold in men's team pursuit

Team GB set a new world record as they took gold in the men's team pursuit at the Velodrome this evening.

Ed Clancy, Geraint Thomas, Peter Kennaugh and Steven Burke overcame Australia by a comfortable margin in the final.

The quartet completed the 4,000m race in a time of 3:51.659.

GB had reached the final having beaten Denmark in similarly emphatic style earlier on Friday.
