Team GB's Liam Phillips seeded 12th for men's BMX quarter-finals

Team GB's Liam Phillips will be seeded 12th for the men's BMX quarter-finals.

Phillips was one of the early starters in the 32-man field, and he provisionally took the lead with a time of 38.719s.

However, the Netherlands' Raymon van der Biezen ended the seeding run at the top of the standings, nearly half a second faster than the rest of the field.

Lativa's Edzus Treimanis will be seeded last as he crashed out in similar fashion to USA's Brooke Crain in the women's seeding run.

The quarter-finals will take place on Thursday.
