Scotland's David Millar: Time trial crowd was "amazing"

Scotland cyclist David Millar says that the crowd was "amazing" for the men's individual time trial at the Commonwealth Games.

Scotland cyclist David Millar has praised the "amazing" fans that lined the route of the time trial at the Commonwealth Games earlier today.

The 37-year-old, who is retiring at the end of the season, was the defending champion at the event, but could not match the pace of the leaders, finishing eighth.

He wrote on Twitter: "That was amazing. Felt like a Tour de France stage, only better as everybody was Scottish. Well done Alex Dowsett that was a phenomenal ride!"

Dowsett won the gold, having finished as the runner-up behind Millar in Delhi.
