Phillips wins third BMX World Cup race

Great Britain's Liam Phillips has won his third race in this year's UCI BMX Supercross World Cup to extend his overall lead ahead of the final contest.

The 26-year-old edged out second-placed Anthony Dean of Australia in Argentina to move 120 points clear of Dutch world champion Niek Kimmann.

Philips previously recorded victories in the Sweden and Manchester races, but could still be overtaken in the series, which concludes later this month.

The fifth and final World Cup race takes place in South Carolina in the US between September 25 and 26.
