Anton Vorobyev and Sergei Chernetckii extend contracts with Katusha

Russian riders Anton Vorobyev and Sergei Chernetckii sign two-year contract extensions with Team Katusha.

Young Russian riders Anton Vorobyev and Sergei Chernetckii have extended their deals with Team Katusha.

Vorobyev, 23, and Chernetckii, 24, have both signed two-year extensions that will keep them with Katusha until 2016.

"Anton and Sergei are the brightest examples of the fruitful work, carried out by the Russian Global Cycling Project," Katusha general manager Viacheslav Ekimov said in a statement.

"In their first two years with Katusha they already showed their talent and I am sure in the next seasons we will see the development of their full potential.

"I am happy that this will happen in our Team Katusha. Now we are working hard for the improvement and renewal of our team. 75% of the structure of the 2015 team is ready, but we are still looking for more opportunities and strength."

Vorobyev and Chernetckii are currently competing for Katusha at the Tour of Poland.
