Team Sky announce arrival of new performance coach Shaun Stephens

Team Sky appoint Shaun Stephens, who worked alongside the Australian team at London 2012, as their new performance coach.

Team Sky have announced the appointment of new performance coach Shaun Stephens.

The 37-year-old will join up with the British team for the 2013 season following his stint with the Australian national team at the London Olympic Games in the summer.

Team Sky principal Dave Brailsford said: "Shaun's appointment continues Team Sky's commitment to assembling the very best coaching and support staff in the world, without being afraid to look beyond the arena of cycling."

Stephens is widely regarded as one of the world's best triathlon coaches.
