Team Sky reveal new squad for 2012 season

Team Sky announce new squad

Team Sky have unveiled a new squad consisting of 28 cyclists for the 2012 season.

The team will be hoping to build on a promising 2011 campaign which saw the squad finish second in the UCI World Tour team rankings.

British riders Mark Cavendish and Bradley Wiggins will lead the squad, containing cyclists from 12 nations.

Team Sky principal Dave Brailsford told Sky Sports News: "With Mark Cavendish joining riders like Bradley Wiggins, Geraint Thomas and Edvald Boasson Hagen, we have a hugely talented squad of riders with proven ability at the very highest level of our sport.

"We made great strides in 2011, in what was our second season as a WorldTour team. The challenge for all of us is to build on those achievements and become an even stronger and more successful team."
