Euskaltel-Euskadi rider Victor Cabedo has died following a training accident, his team has confirmed.
The 23-year-old lost his life after being involved in a collision with a car north of Valencia.
Team spokesman Jesus Aizkorbe descibed Cabedo as "a professional rider with a lot of promise who was killed by means that could have been avoided".
Cabedo recently took part in the Tour of Britain.
