Vincenzo Nibali to target Giro d'Italia-Tour de France double in 2015?

Astana's Vincenzo Nibali suggests that he may ride both the Giro d'Italia and the Tour de France next year.

This year's Tour de France champion Vincenzo Nibali has dropped a big hint that he plans to target a Giro d'Italia-Tour de France double next season.

Nibali, 29, is expected to defend his title in next year's Tour de France, but suggested that he may ride both of the Grand Tours in a video message played at the presentation to unveil the 2015 Giro d'Italia in Milan today.

"I have a very special bond with the Giro because it's the race that launched my Grand Tour career," Nibali said in the message.

"We've still got to decide my program for next year but I'd love to return to the Giro d'Italia."

The Astana rider won the Giro d'Italia in 2013 but opted to focus on the Tour de France this season.
