Car rental company Europcar confirm that they are to withdraw their sponsorship of the French cycling team from the end of next season.

Europcar has confirmed that it will withdraw its sponsorship of the French cycling team from the end of next season.

The Paris-based car rental company has sponsored Jean-Rene Bernaudeau's squad since 2011.

"We wanted to communicate our decision as soon as possible to the team to facilitate the search for a new partner," Europcar's director of international communications, Nathalie Poujol, said in a statement.

Team Europcar has previously been named Brioches La Boulangere, Bonjour, Bouygues Telecom, and Bbox Bouygues Telecom.
