Team Sky boss Dave Brailsford welcomes 'serious' anti-doping pledge

Brailsford: 'No place for cheats in Team Sky'

Team Sky boss Dave Brailsford has claimed that there is "no place" for any rider or staff member who has been involved in doping during their careers.

The team announced today that all members will have to sign a pledge to declare that they have never been involved in doping.

"Given what's happened in the last couple of weeks it's important that we sit down and take this seriously," Brailsford told BBC Radio Five Live.

"There is no place in Team Sky for those with an involvement in doping, whether past or present. This applies to management, support staff and riders."

The decision comes after the United States Anti-Doping Agency published damning evidence against Lance Armstrong.
