Alex Dowsett extends Movistar deal

Commonwealth Games gold medallist Alex Dowsett signs a new three-year deal with Movistar.

British rider Alex Dowsett has confirmed that he has signed a three-year contract extension with the Spanish Movistar Team.

The 25-year-old, who finished eighth at the Tour of Britain earlier this month, joined Movistar in 2013 after a spell with Team Sky.

"Three more years with Movistar, I will be fluent in Spanish by 2017," Dowsett said on Twitter.

Dowsett, who is three-time British national time trial champion, also won gold in the road time trial event at the Commonwealth Games this summer.
