Bradley Wiggins can still improve and achieve further success, according to Team Sky principal Dave Brailsford.

Team Sky principal Dave Brailsford has insisted that things can continue to get better for Bradley Wiggins after his Tour de France win.

The 32-year old secured a memorable victory on Sunday when he became the first British winner in the 99-year history of the event.

There is little rest time for Wiggins, who will compete for Team GB in the Olympic cycling road race this Sunday.

Brailsford believes that Wiggins has the ability and drive to add to his win over the weekend with more Olympic medals and potentially another Tour victory.

"He can still get better. It's down to Bradley's desire and commitment which will be within," said Brailsford.

"If he stays intrinsically driven towards doing the Tour there is no reason why not because physically he can do it again.

"It's more about his desire. I will put money on it that he will stay as focused and driven as he is."

Wiggins has won three gold medals, a silver and two bronze in three previous Olympic appearances.
