Both teams are looking for their first victories of the tournament after losing their respective opening matches.

Afghanistan lost the toss and were put into bat at the Khan Shaheb Osman Ali Stadium before going on to make 254-6 from 50 overs.

Asghar Stanikzai (90 not out) and Samiullah Shenwari (81) both impressed at the crease, but Nawroz Mangal (24) and Najibullah Zadran (21) were the only other players to make significant scores.

Arafat Sunny took two wickets for Bangladesh, while Rubel Hossain and Mominul Haque also got in on the act with the ball.
