GB falls to France in women's basketball

Team GB women's basketball suffered an agonising last second 80-77 defeat at the hands of France this evening.

The fourth quarter ended 67-67 and the game went into overtime.

With 0.2 seconds of overtime remaining, Dumerc of France scored a three-point shot to seal the victory for France.

Britain led for large parts of the game and will no doubt be disappointed with the result, especially as they had a last ditch shot disallowed for being made after buzzer had sounded.

Team GB have yet to win a match in the women's basketball.
