Cameron Payne fractures finger ahead of NBA Draft

Murray State guard Cameron Payne suffers a fractured finger during a workout just days before the NBA Draft.

Murray State guard Cameron Payne has suffered a broken finger less than a week before the NBA's annual Draft.

The 20-year-old, who was named 2015 Player of the Year in the Ohio Valley Conference, has been projected to be one of the top 10 picks when NBA teams get to choose from this year's class of college players on Thursday.

After sustaining the injury during a workout in Denver, his agent, Travis King, told Draft Express: "Cam continued to work out even after suffering the injury in Denver, and he could probably play in a meaningful game tomorrow if he needed to."

Payne's fracture will not require surgery, and is expected to sideline the guard for around three weeks.
