Rachel Choong makes history in Para-Badminton World Championships

Rachel Choong becomes the first English player to win three gold medals at a Para-badminton World Championships.

Crosby-based Rachel Choong has become the first English player to win three gold medals at a Para-badminton World Championships.

Choong took her first title by winning the women's doubles with Rebecca Bedford on Saturday, and then followed that up with a victory over her teammate in the singles final.

After winning 21-13 21-2 against Bedford, Choong joined Andrew Martin in the mixed doubles event, and the pair came out on top.

Para-badminton will make its debut in the Tokyo 2020 Paralympic Games.
