GB's Katarina Johnson-Thompson out of long jump final at World Championships

Great Britain's Katarina Johnson-Thompson falls out of the long jump final after finishing 11th after three rounds at the World Championships in Beijing.

Great Britain's Katarina Johnson-Thompson has failed to medal at the World Athletics Championships after finishing 11th in the women's long jump final in Beijing.

The 22-year-old's hopes of success rested on this event after crashing out of the heptathlon earlier in the week following three foul jumps.

Johnson-Thompson's opening effort resulted in 6.63m, and after a red flag threw out her second-round jump, the Liverpudlian recorded 6.63m again in the third round.

The athlete won silver in this event at the World Indoor Championships last year.
