Team GB's Eilidh Doyle eighth in women's 400m hurdles final

Great Britain's Eilidh Doyle has finished in eighth place in the women's 400m hurdles final.

Doyle was drawn in lane one after only progressing as a fastest loser and she struggled to keep pace with her rivals.

The 29-year-old was always towards the back of the field as USA's Dalilah Muhammad led from start to finish to claim gold in a time of 53.13s.

Denmark's Sara Slott Petersen won silver as she finished 0.42 seconds behind Muhammad, while USA's Ashley Spencer earned bronze.
