Team GB sprinter Eilidh Doyle has made it through to the semi-finals of the women's 400m hurdles event in Rio de Janeiro.
The 29-year-old, who competed at the London Olympics in 2012, comfortably won her heat with a time of 55.46s to advance to the second stage for the second successive Games.
The time was good enough for an encouraging fifth place overall from a field of 48 competitors, just faster than defending bronze medallist Zuzana Hejnova of the Czech Republic.
Jamaica's Ristananna Tracey posted the only sub-55 time of the session, leading the pack with a time of 54.88s, while semi-final spots were assured for American trio Ashley Spencer (55.12s), Dalilah Muhammad (55.33s) and Sydney McLaughlin (56.32s).
The semi-finals of the event take place on Tuesday, with the final following on Thursday.
