Lee McConnell advances into semi-finals of women's 400m

Great Britain's Lee McConnell qualified for the semi-finals of the 400m at the Olympic Stadium in London this afternoon.

The 33-year-old Scot finished third in heat number three with a time of 52.23s.

She finished behind Russia's Antonina Krivoshapka, who clocked a time that was almost two seconds quicker than McConnell's.

Ukraine's Alina Lohvynenko ended the race in second spot.
