Farah sets European record in Lisbon

Great Britain's Mo Farah set a new European record time by winning the Lisbon half marathon in 59 minutes and 32 seconds.

The 31-year-old, who won two gold medals at the London 2012 Olympics, became the first Brit to break 60 minutes in the 13.1-mile race at the weekend.

Farah, whose time was 20 seconds faster than the record that was set by Spain's Fabian Roncero 14 years ago, pipped Kenya's Micah Kogo to victory.

Eritrea's Zersenay Tadese set the world record of 58:23 back in 2010.
