Shelly Woods wins marathon silver for Great Britain

Great Britain's Shelly Woods has won silver in a tough T54 women's marathon.

Woods was edged out of gold position by Shirley Reilly of the USA, who finished in a time of 1:46:33.

With a time of 1:46:44, Woods finished one second behind the American.

Sandra Graf of Switzerland provided tough competition in the race for silver, but had to settle for bronze with a time of 1:46:35.

The silver is Woods's first medal of London 2012, having missed out in the T54 800m, 1500m and 5000m.
