Great Britain's Paralympic athlete Scott Moorhouse has failed to win a medal in the men's F42 javelin final after finishing seventh at the Olympic Stadium.

The Brit threw a season's best of 45.30m but it wasn't enough to contest for a place on the podium as China's Fu Yanlong secured a world-record distance of 52.79m.

Kamran Shokrisalari of Iran picked up the silver medal, while Norway's Runar Steinstad grabbed the final place on the podium.

Casper Schutte of South Africa missed out on a medal after finishing in fourth.
