Great Britain's Stephen Miller will not be able to fight for a Paralympic medal after failing to clinch a top-eight spot in the men's club throw.

Great Britain's Paralympic athlete Stephen Miller will be unable to contest for a medal after dropping out of the top eight in the men's club throw at the Olympic Stadium.

The three-time Paralympic champion failed to meet the standards of his competitors, recording a best throw of 26.70m.

Serbia's Zeljko Dimitrijevic topped the standings with a throw of 26.88m, which earned him 1010 points overall.

Meanwhile, Great Britain have won their first athletics medal after Aled Davies clinched bronze in the men's shot put final.
