Tanni Grey-Thompson hails "most amazing night"

Baroness Tanni Grey-Thompson has hailed this evening's Paralympics athletics action as the "most amazing night" she has ever witnessed.

Grey-Thompson, who has ParalympicsGB's joint-highest gold medals for a female athlete, said that she was blown away by the support for David Weir and Jonnie Peacock in the Olympic Stadium tonight.

"This has been the most amazing night of athletics I have witnessed," Grey-Thompson told BBC Sport.

"I have been to a number of Olympics and Paralympics but the number of people shouting Peacock just did it for me. For David Weir and Jonnie Peacock this was just incredible."

Grey-Thompson had her record 11 gold medals matched earlier today by cyclist Sarah Storey.
