Great Britain's Kyron Duke disappointed to miss out on medal in men's F40 javelin

Duke: "I'd have loved a medal"

ParalympicsGB athlete Kyron Duke has admitted that he would have "loved" to have collected a medal at London 2012.

The British competitor, who has dwarfism, missed out on a place on the podium after finishing the F40 javelin final in eighth place but did manage to reach a personal best throw of 38.64m.

"It's a lifetime best and I can't really ask more, to PB in London, but I'd have loved a medal," said Duke.

Duke also failed to reach a medal position in the men's F40 shot put after finishing fifth yesterday.
