Great Britain's Kyron Duke disappointed to miss out on medal in men's F40 javelin

Kyron Duke says that he is satisfied with his F40 javelin performance but admits that he would have "loved" to have snatched a medal.

ParalympicsGB athlete Kyron Duke has admitted that he would have "loved" to have collected a medal at London 2012.

The British competitor, who has dwarfism, missed out on a place on the podium after finishing the F40 javelin final in eighth place but did manage to reach a personal best throw of 38.64m.

"It's a lifetime best and I can't really ask more, to PB in London, but I'd have loved a medal," said Duke.

Duke also failed to reach a medal position in the men's F40 shot put after finishing fifth yesterday.
