Stuart Stokes exits steeplechase

Great Britain's Stuart Stokes missed out on a qualifying spot in the men's 3,000m steeplechase at the Olympic Stadium in London this afternoon.

The veteran runner could only manage to finish 12th, clocking a time of 8:43.04 in the process in what was the last race of his career.

Roba Gari won the race in a time of 8:20.68, while the Kenyan Ezekiel Kemobi ended in the runner-up spot.

Morocco's Hamid Ezzine finished in third, ahead of Donald Cabral and Ion Luchianov.
