Jeter wins 100m semi-final

Carmelita Jeter has secured a place in the 100m final with an impressive victory inside the Olympic Stadium.

The American started well out of the blocks and a perfect display in the final stages gave her the win in 10.83 seconds.

Jamaica's Veronica Campbell-Brown also qualified after being just beaten to the win by Jeter.

Team GB's Abiodun Oyepitan failed to make the final as she finished in last position with a time of 11.36 seconds.
