Margaret Adeoye qualifies for 200m semi-final

Team GB's Margaret Adeoye ran a personal best to qualify for the women's 200m semi-final this evening.

Adeoye ran a time of 22.94s, narrowly beating Allison Peter of the American Virgin Isles into the final automatic qualifying spot.

Murielle Ahoura of Ivory Coast won the heat comfortably with a time of 22.55s, while Russia's Aleksandra Fedoriva came second with a time of 22.61s.

The semi-finals will take place tomorrow evening.
