Great Britain's sole 20km walk competitor Johanna Jackson has been disqualified from today's race after three infringements.
Jackson had run 8km before being red-carded, which was the third time both her feet had left the ground.
The race's rules state part of either foot must be in contact with the road at any one time; Jackson received two formal warnings before her DQ.
Although she was not in contention for a medal, Jackson's 36:12 at the 8km mark had set her on course for a personal best in the event.
