British triple jumper Phillips Idowu is reportedly yet to send the British Olympics Association the medical records of his suspected knee injury.

The British Olympics Association are still waiting for the medical records of triple jumper Phillips Idowu.

The 33-year-old athlete, who won silver at the 2008 Games in Beijing, was asked to prove his recent injury to the BOA on Tuesday after failing to join his fellow athletes at the training camp in Portugal.

While Idowu admitted that he was "disappointed and surprised" that the BOA made the request, it is understood that the jumper has yet to show them his medical records, according to Sky Sports News.

Reports have claimed that Idowu is suffering from a trapped nerve behind his left knee.
