Great Britain's Yamile Aldama says that the support for her has been unlike any she has experienced before as she reaches Sunday's triple jump final.

Great Britain's Yamile Aldama has praised the home crowds in the Olympic Stadium following her qualification into the women's triple jump final.

Aldama managed to clinch a spot in Sunday's final in her first attempt, which recorded a qualifying distance of 14.45m.

"This is my fifth Olympics and I've never experienced a crowd like this in the qualifying round," Aldama told BBC Sport. "Normally, it's not like this."

Kimberly Williams of Jamaica has also qualified for the final with the best length so far of 14.53m.
