Adam Gemili storms into semi-finals of 200m at European Championships

Great Britain's Adam Gemili has eased his way into the semi-finals of the 200m at the European Championships in Zurich, Switzerland.

The 20-year-old, who won silver in the 100m final at the Glasgow Commonwealth Games, qualified fastest this morning.

A time of 20.39s was enough to put him in the number one ranking spot ahead of France's Christophe Lemaitre.

Britain's James Ellington and Danny Talbot also sailed through their heats to reach the semi-finals, which get underway tonight.
