British trio progress into semi-finals of women's 200m at European Championships

Great Britain's Jodie Williams, Dina Asher-Smith and Bianca Williams have all sealed a place in the semi-finals of the 200m at the European Championships in Zurich, Switzerland.

World junior champion Asher-Smith impressed in heat five by finishing the race in 22.75s, which has placed her second-fastest behind Holland's Dafne Schippers in the next round.

Jodie Williams is also safely through to the semi-finals by completing her heat in 22.88s, while Bianca Williams rounds off the British contingent after racing heat one in 23.38s.

The semi-finals will take place in the second session of the day this evening.
