Niall Flannery defends British 400m hurdles title, Dai Greene nabs bronze

Niall Flannery defends his 400m hurdles British title, while Dai Greene claims bronze, but fails to hit the qualifying time for the World Championships.

Niall Flannery successfully defended his 400m hurdles title at the British Athletics Championships, while Dai Greene claimed bronze.

Gold was comfortably taken by Flannery in 50.16 seconds, while Jack Houghton claimed the second place on the podium.

Greene, who has been suffering with a calf problem for the last seven weeks, clipped the first hurdle, but recovered to cross the finish line third in a time of 50.82 seconds.

The Welshman, who was crowned world champion in 2011, is yet to hit the qualifying time of 49.50 seconds to grab a place at the World Championships.
