Usain Bolt recovers from botched start to win 100m race

Jamaican sprinter Usain Bolt has recovered from a poor start to win the Racers Grand Prix in Kingston, setting the second-fastest time of the year across 100m.

The Olympic champion stumbled out of the starting blocks, but still managed to finish the race in 9.88 seconds.

Bolt's rivals sprinted away from him early on, but he caught up with Yohan Blake and Asafa Powell by 60m before racing over the finish line unopposed.

Nickel Ashmeade was his closest challenger with a finish time of 9.94s while Blake and Powell came third and fourth respectively.

Only Jimmy Vicaut of France has run faster over 100m this year, completing the distance in 9.86s.
