Olympic tickets to go on sale to fill empty seats

Johnson promises more Olympic tickets

London Mayor Boris Johnson has reportedly revealed that plans are in place to put additional Olympic tickets on sale to the public following the issue of empty seats.

A host of seats have not been filled at venues all around London 2012 over the weekend, prompting questions over the ticketing system.

Johnson has claimed that the public will have another chance to witness certain events over the next fortnight if they cannot resolve the seating problem, according to BBC Sport.

Reports emerged today claiming that soldiers, who were originally drafted in for security purposes, were used as "seat fillers" for events over the opening weekend.
