Nevin Yanit hit with increased doping ban

Nevin Yanit has one year added on to her two-year doping ban by the Court of Arbitration for Sport.

Turkish sprinter Nevin Yanit has seen her two-year doping ban increased by a further year by the Court of Arbitration for Sport.

The 29-year-old had tested positive in August 2013 for banned substances during a competition in Germany and was initially banned by the Turkish Athletics Federation.

However, the IAAF appealed to CAS to increase her ban to four years after "multiple positive findings".

Yanit is a two-time European champion in the 100m hurdles, and the current European indoor champion in the 60m hurdles.
