Rutherford selected for World Championships

Olympic long jump champion Greg Rutherford has been awarded a place in the Great Britain team for next month's World Championships.

The 26-year-old was initially left out of the team travelling to Moscow due to a hamstring injury, but UK Athletics performance director Neil Black believes that he will recover in time.

"Greg has shown a remarkable level of recovery during a short space of time, something he has shown an aptitude for throughout his athletics career," BBC Sport quotes Black as saying.

The Championships begin on August 10.
