Pavey: 'I wouldn't associate myself with Salazar'

Jo Pavey has revealed that she would "run a mile" if her coach had been accused of encouraging doping among athletes.

Alberto Salazar, who has coached Mo Farah since 2011, has been implicated during a BBC Panorama documentary, and despite the 56-year-old denying the accusations, Pavey has admitted that she would immediately part ways with the American.

The 41-year-old is quoted by BBC Sport as saying: "As an athlete, you don't want to associate yourself with people that have got accusations and allegations against them.

"I'm not here to accuse anyone, but if there was anybody I was slightly associated with that I suddenly realised had these accusations against them - or any of my training partners - I'd run a mile."

Pavey is currently preparing to compete in the 10,000m at the European Cup in Italy.
