Organisers hopeful of Mo Farah Cardiff appearance

Mo Farah is "thinking of participating" in the World Half Marathon Championships in Cardiff next year.

The organisers of the World Half Marathon Championships have claimed that Mo Farah is "thinking of participating" in next year's event.

The Championships are due to take place in Cardiff next March and a number of elite athletes are expected to compete as part of their preparations for the 2016 Olympic Games.

"I know he is thinking of participating," International Amateur Athletics Federation secretary Essar Gabriel told BBC Sport.

"This is a half marathon and the best way to finish the season off the track before preparing for Rio.

"It's up to him to decide, but the competition will be of the highest level. And if Mo is part of it, then that is even better."

Yesterday it was confirmed that Farah will compete in the Lisbon Half Marathon on March 22.
