Weather Report: Positive outlook for the afternoon

Positive outlook for the afternoon

Rain is not expected to trouble any of the Olympic events for the remainder of the day.

Lord's Cricket Ground, Greenwich Park, Horse Guards Parade and Lee Valley White Water Centre will all be hosting competitions as the afternoon progresses.

Temperatures at these venues will reach around 19°C, according to BBC Weather.

One sport that could be forced to stop is the tennis at Wimbledon, with showers anticipated over SW19.

However, these are only expected to be isolated and infrequent, so the players should not be off court for too long.
