The Olympic torch will visit 1,018 destinations as it travels across the United Kingdom prior to next year's Olympic Games in London, it was confirmed earlier today.
Organisers have also confirmed that 95% of the population will come within ten miles of the torch during its 8,000-mile journey between May 19 and July 27, 2012.
The relay route will begin in Land's End, before travelling in a clockwise direction and visiting every county and borough in Britain.
It will end in London for the opening ceremony.
