Kenya's Wilson Kipsang finishes first in the men's London Marathon with the second-fastest time in the race's history.

Wilson Kipsang claimed first in this year's men's London Marathon.

The Kenyan earned an unofficial time of 2:04:44, the second-fastest in the history of the event.

Kipsang's compatriot Martin Lel won a hard-earned battle for second place, forcing Ethiopia's Tsegaye Kebede in to third.

Lee Merrien was the first British athlete to cross the finish line with a personal best time of 2:13:40.

Mary Keitany emerged victorious in the women's race to ensure a Kenyan double at this year's event.
