Dai Greene has warned his main rival for 400m hurdles gold Javier Culson that he intends to keep getting quicker.

British 400m hurdles gold medal hopeful Dai Greene has warned his main rival Javier Culson that he intends to keep getting quicker ahead of the London Olympic Games.

Despite having been beaten by Culson three times this season, the Welshman is encouraged by his own progress and hopes that he will have enough in him to win gold.

"[Last week's London Diamond League meeting time] was my third fastest time ever, so I can't be too disappointed," This is Bath quotes Greene as saying.

"I've got a few more weeks to get a bit sharper and I'm going in the right direction I think. I've run faster than I did last year already, so it seems to be boding well.

"In a few weeks' time Culson may be tiring, hopefully I'll run a bit faster. Hopefully I'll get one over on him then."

Greene is the current world champion, winning gold in Daegu last year.
